Colon cleansing & detoxing - Good or Bad?
Posted By: Ramona Date: February-02, 1998 at 12:14:12
I read the transcript of Peter's interview on CompuServe. I was intrigued by what Peter said to one person about how some people develop allergies after the flu, possibly because of protective linings being stripped from gut/intestines (not a direct quote). Does anybody have thoughts on the notion that it could be possible for a colon cleanse to create allergies BECAUSE of the colon "stripping"? I notice a high degree of maladies occurring in people who do a lot of colon cleansing. One person I know, did a very mild colon cleanse and developed dermatitis (for the first time in his life) within 30 days. I just really feel skeptical about colon cleanses and "detoxing." Of course I realize Peter's reference was not to colon cleansing/detoxing.
