for my four-year-old boy. He's AB and goes down two different paths toward hyperactivity:
1. Gets a virus (every two weeks or so), which knocks out his GLA production (post-viral syndrome),
which leads to excema, which is accompanied by hyperactivity and an asthma attack.
2. Gets a virus, progresses into a bacterial ear infection which he can't fight because
he's just had a virus which has depleted his system, we put him on an antibiotic, he gets yeast,
and excema, hyperactivity, and an asthma attack follow.
We have found tons of research linking EFA imbalances and candida to behavioral problems.
What we have found that helps: The AB diet, including avodance of chicken and corn, plenty of fish and yogurt.
Membrane fluidizer cocktail made with lemon juice and water instead of fruit juice, to cut mucous.
Evening primrose oil rubbed into his skin. Acidophilus every day, regardless of whether or not he has
had an antibiotic. Homeopathics as appropriate. Chamomilia, coffea, pulsitilla, and aconite have been
most successful for the hyperactivity for us. Homeopathic drops specifically for candida have been very
effective following antibiotics as a preventative for the hyperactivity. Corn-free chewable multivitamins
everyday. Note: when he is yeasty, the B-vitamins exacerbate the hyperactivity, so we back off on
those. Leo Galland, MD, has established the B to hyperactivity link and we know it to be real. You
might check out his book, Superimmunity for Kids. Has lots of info about behavior (including hyperactivity
and autism), and nutrition. Other things that help: Chlorox wash for produce, especially fruit, and always
protein with anything made from grains, even whole grains.
Hope this helps. You're doing a good thing.

These supplements do several things: Cut down on progression of the virus to
excema and bacterial infections. Keeps the yeast at bay, at least most of the time.
