In Response To: A kosher kill is less cruel, more healthful...what about for fish? (sean)
Hi, Sean! At last, I think I must respond to your post, because I feel that the subject line may perpetuate a misconception. My reply is intimately related to the ER4YT diet system, since I am discussing the preparation of a major element in the Type O diet. If you are not familiar with slaughterhouse customs (I was a complete know-nothing about it until recently), I feel it would be irresponsible of me not to mention that there are controversies surrounding kosher slaughter. One of the sources of my new education in the area is John Robbins' book, "Diet for a New America." If you wish, you can visit a website for more information. It is not a pretty place. www.newveg.av.org/animals/kosher.htm all the best, heidi
