In Response To: Autism, ER4YT, and Type O ? for Dr. D. (Dorothy C.)
Unfortunately, this article has no abstract available, but I will pull it next time I am at Yale Medical Libary: Spence MA, et al. [See Related Articles]
Gene mapping studies with the syndrome of autism. Behav Genet. 1985 Jan; 15(1): 1-13. No abstract available. PMID: 3985910; UI: 85174182.
It could be feasible that a partial link might exist between autism and blood groups, as there are some studies which show links to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Schizophrenia. These are probably not direct links, and most likely result from a latent genetic succeptibility for the illness which is then further "uncovered" by the expression of some element of ABO genetics.
