Todd, or others on the same quest,

Another resource is the Science Citation Index, a
database with a longer history than Medline.
Early references are listed in the hard copy,
fine print, volumes of SCI in college
libraries. I am serious about taking a magnifying
glass, unless you have a hand held scanner.

It is not as user-friendly as Medline, as it lacks
abstracts and you have to know your alternate
keywords when you start.
