Question for non-secretors
Posted By: Mary Date: February-28, 1998 at 20:03:32
Would any of you who know what your secretor status is and are also highly sensitive please e-mail me and let me know if you are a secretor or non-secretor. The analogy of warding off what the body deems to be an invador toward the surface of your body (secretor) compared to taking the invading substance further into your body before warding it off (non-secretor) just seems SO analagous to me about how it feels to be highly sensitive. So many things, such as lights, sounds, others emotions, tastes, sensations effect me so much more deeply than they do others who are better at letting things "roll off their backs." I am wondering if being a non-secretor is a biological marker of being highly sensitive. Twenty percent of the population are highly sensitive (Elaine Aron) and 22% are non-secretors (Rockwood Labs).
