In Response To: Does anyone else have Candida(no sugar), allergic to dairy products & I am type O? (Billie M. Shacklett)
Hi Billie, What helps me is to eat an adequate amount of protein, a moderate amount of fat, and a fair portion of low glycemic carbohydrates. i.e. Broccoli, spinach, swiss chard, grapefruit, apples, etc.....When I do crave sweets I'll have a protein snack (usually some chicken w' olive oil). I find the book "Protein Power" to be a good adjunct to "Eat Right 4 Your Type." Sounds like your having positive weight loss results as this way of eating does reduce body fat. Drinking plenty of water is important also. I don't know your present capacity for exercise at this moment. I walk 6-7 hours a week and do three sets of pushups 5-6 nights a week. I'll be adding sit-ups soon. This moderate amount of exercise is very helpful for me and I intend to increase this with time. Other than that I'd like to encourage you to be patient with your progress in following this way of eating. Your confidence will then grow with the benefits reaped from following this diet; increased energy & well being, more clarity, and reduction of body fat. All the best, Robert Colt
