The Amalgam List has been buzzing with reports from a study of pregnant and nursing mothers and their offspring who have been exposed to mercury from diet of fish. Subtle problems with the neural responses and maturation of the children is reported. Hg levels in Moms is really not high by health standards. The conclusion [tentative at this stage] is that it only takes a tiny bit of Hg to damage children. Study was done in the Orkneys, I think. Small island group in North Sea.
