Protection from prostate cancer without tomatoes
Posted By: Mary Date: February-03, 1998 at 11:30:23
Just learned that my husband is type B and should avoid tomatoes, which are protective against prostate cancer because of lycopene content. Other foods that contain lycopenes are ruby red grapefruit, watermelon and rose hips. But I'm not sure that it is the correct form of lycopene to protect against prostate cancer. Although type b's are not as likely to develop cancer, he'd like to cover his bases and take or eat something that helps him avoid it anyhow. What, besides lycopene, does this?
