The Blood Type Diet Archives Volume 3
Dr. D: HC1 vs Peptin
Posted By: Rich Date: February-18, 1998 at 08:59:36
I've been told (at http://www.vegsource.com/wwwboard/weight/messages/1137.html) the following: "The blood type theory is an interesting one which has been scrutinized in earlier posts on the Health Board. The bottom line as I recall is that it rests on a false premise that HC1 is what digests protein in the stomach, and since certain blood types have higher stomach acid, there is a greater need for protein and, hence, meat. In fact, it is peptin that digests protein, not HC1...rendering the whole stomach acic/protein/blood type/diet theory d.o.a." - Jeff Do you have any comment?
