There are a few things we can do with it:
WE CAN HANG OURSELVES- Sorry I have to use the fatalistic imagery but it seems necessary because it's something we do to ourselves; it hurts us and often those around us. Taking the blame and some responsibility usually loosens the knot right away. Some of us have to learn our internal lessons this way.
WE CAN MAKE A SWING, HAVE FUN, TRAVEL, AND EXCERCISE OUR STRENGTH- This is gratifying work. It's also something that doesn't have to be done alone.
WE CAN THROW IT IN A CORNER AND STARE AT IT FOR AWHILE- This does not have to be an option that is motivated by fear and passivity. Doing this often prevents our swings from becoming nooses.
Balance tells me that it's ok to do a bit of each every day.
