Jean, Although there are many links between resting heart rate
and basal metabolism, I'm not competent to give us all
a synopsis on it. The blood type part of your question
probably has a complex answer too, since type O's
with hypothyroid (and low BMR = basal metabolism rate)
can have altered resting pulse rate. But not all O's have
the thryoid problem, other blood types have thyroid
metabolism problems, etc. Maybe if we keep our eyes peeled, the answer will unfurl
piece by piece. Your dinner guest sample sounds fascinating! Hope you bring it up again when Dr. D returns. Joan
