Lauri,
TOS seems to be a difficult diagnosis. It seems that the textbook case involves an extra rib bone or spur and they like to remove the 1st rib as a treatment. It isn't something that is commonly associated with injury, whip-lash in my case, at least that's what I've come away with from all this. I really went through the mill, neurologists, orthopedists, physcologists, internists, chiropractic (which, by the way, gave instant relief from the dizziness, find one that does atlas adjustments the orthogonal way though) and now acupuncture. These last two given the most relief. I'm trying Castor Oil packs also.
Some symptoms of TOS are constant pain from your neck down your arm, pins and needles, a general feeling like your limb is heavy (dead wood!), pain up under the should bone, etc. I'm sure there are other symptoms but those are a few. Chiropractic alignment helps but doesn't seem to last long either, I felt pretty good when combining PTand chiropractic but alas Insurance companies now know what's the best treatment for us all! (NOT!)
Good Luck,
Teri
