In Response To: A great abstract on thyroid TSH and glycoproteins (OJoan)
OJoan, I've always been fascinated by the high preponderance of fucosyltransferase enzymes in human breast milk, versus other species. Much of this side chain activity no doubt has the intent of inducing immune tolerance and avoiding sensitization to the fast developing colon bacteria, though it has never been presented to the scientific community as such. It points to the premise that the best time to follow ER4YT is probably in-utero and in the neonatal period. Peter
