In Response To: Purpose of avoidance (Barrie )
I am also interested in finding out which of the avoid foods are OK for those of us who are trying the diet and are healthy and don't need to lose any weight. I have been sticking to the diet religiously and have been avoiding the forbidden foods. One of the foods on the avoid list, that I had consumed regularly, is oats, in many forms. When I posted a question on this Board, I was told that oats are OK for type O's who do not need to lose weight. Are there other foods that fall into this same category? Am I avoiding other heathful foods that I enjoy because the diet is intended to promote weight loss? I am as confused as Barrie. My reading of ER4YT was that each food on the type O list had been tested against type O blood and had been determined to be unhealthful, neutral, or beneficial.
