My thyroid was partially removed about ten years ago, due to benighn tumors, and I have been on Synthroid ever since. Does anyone know anything about how the gland works in this situation, in terms of percentage of efficiency, or if there is improvement or not with respect to the remaining size? My annual TSH test is normal, with the prescription drug, so should I even be concerning myself with all of this?
