Here's my take on your "restaurant" Headaches. I've been going to an allergist for several years now. I started going to him because of frequent headaches. I found out through trial and error that most of my headaches came after eating in restaurants. I also disovered that most of these restaurants used MSG in their foods. I immediately eliminated MSG-laden foods from my diet, both at home and in restaurants. They headaches have copletely disappeared, and these were down-in-bed migraines! MSG occurs naturally in many foods also: corn-on-the-cob, most canned soup stocks, mushrooms, wine, cheese, etc. There are several good books at your local library on the subject. You may be surprised at where you find it. Read your labels; make foods from scratch so you know what's in them. Ask at the restaurant (although they don't always know about their additives). Chinese food is usually full of it. It's sometimes disguised on food labels as "hydrolized vegetable protein"---same stuff MSG. Getting it out of your diet is not easy, but I've been headache-free for three years now....it's worth it.
