Two questions: (1)concerning aluminum in cooking. (2) what is "iron algae"?

There has been much discussion concerning metal toxicity on the board. I am concerned about the use of aluminum cooking pans and utensils. Would anyone care to comment on this? I would also like to know where a person could obtain a rice cooker that has a stainless steel cooking-pot, instead of the aluminum ones I always find.
