In Response To: Some extra help (Julie)
Great input regarding lysine and diet. Another tool I have found helpful with chronic viral conditions is Lauric Acid. I get it in a product called Monolaurin (Ecological Formulas). Monolaurin does not "kill" the virus, but it attaches to the viral envelope (cell wall) thus marking it for the immune system to identify and deal with it. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid. It is necessary to build the immune system with nutrients as well, but the Monolaurin keeps the virus from successfully "hiding" from the white blood cells. I have used it for everything from the winterime flu that is going around to genital herpes and shingles with good results. Nothing ever replaces eating the very best quality food that is good for your type body.
