I believe the book and author you are searching for is Your Body Knows Best: The Revolutionary Eating Plan That Helps You Achieve Your Optimal Weight and Energy Level for Life by Ann Louise Gittleman. I've never read this book, but it has been mentioned by other people in past months here on Dr. D'Adamo's web site.
