In Response To: Lectins in supplements? (Beth)
I, too, am curious about this. My husband and I (both Type A's) have been taking a supplement for a little over a year that is basically fruits, veggies and grains in capsule form. Most ingredients are HB or neutral for us, but also included are some avoids - tomato, cabbage, orange, papaya. I wonder if, although we avoid these in our diet, we are shooting ourselves in the foot by taking this daily supplement. (Tomato is supposed to be especially bad for us A's!) Perhaps the fact that they are in powdered form changes the lectins or the problems created in the stomach, etc.? We both have done very well on this supplement, noticing multiple positive changes as a result. Does this mean it's ok, or is unnoticed trouble brewing...? Ed, any thoughts??
