i had the surgery 4 yrs. ago. no one told me of any risks, such as lungs colapsing, or how painful it would be. i know now that it probably did more harm than good. my dr says he wishes he'd never suggested the surgery. my advice to anyone considering it is, don't do it. but i'd also have to say i didn't really have a choice. my ribs were breaking from the pressure. it that's your case, you'd be better off having it. don't anyone believe it will SOLVE your problem.
