Dear Trudy and Skeezix, Type O's can often decrease their thyroid dosage after follwing the diet and perhaps adding fucus into their program for a period of time. Each case is different, and it must be "de-prescribed" by a physician, preferably the one who prescribed it. Dr. Sica is a very smart cookie. She will know when and how to make the changes needed. Mucous can be a problem the results from the adjustment period, but it might very well be a mild respiratory condition like bronchitis. Peter
