Dear Margaret, The A diet has a few inconsistencies with wheat, as you have discovered. These should have been picked up by the editor, but were not. They assure me that future printings will correct this. To read between the lines: Have your husband emphasize other grains than wheat. If he does use wheat, have him use wheat which is "finely milled" such as durum semolina, which has at least removed the seed coat (which is where the problem causing lectins are found). Straw mushrooms and Quark cheese are fine. The others, I cannot say. The ingredient in curry that is neutral is tumeric. Peter
