I have just been arguing with a friend at work who eats tomatoes for his prostate health. I'll tell him what you recommend as a substitute. Concerning the "niteshades" I've had back pain and I believe it has lessened because of avoidance of these foods. (another book on "backs" mentioned that nightshades cause inflamation and, therefore, pain for people with arthritus in the lower back (me). I have had a health-food person explain that nightshades are nocturnal (grow at night) but are harvested during the day (when their natural plant defensives are "on"). Because of this he feels that they are "stressful" on the body. Have you heard about this and/or does it make sense to you (Dr. D'Adamo)? Thanks for your time.
