The two people with EBV are 8th grade students in my classroom. The presumption is that one gave it to the other. My problem is that these two girls are always sharing lipstick, soda, etc. One was diagnosed recently, but the other had the virus last year. A friend who is a public health MD told me the virus is carried in saliva and can be transmitted through kissing, or other close contact. With my compromised immune system I worry about contact with sudents who have anything.
