Dear Peggy,

You may be metabolically "locked" in the sense that your fat cell's insulin receptors may blocked by lectins, not allowing insulin to access them. The only solution is to keep on the diet long enough for the body to gradually regenerate new insulin receptors, a process which can take 2-3 months. The good news, is that once you become "unblocked", weight loss should proceed more rapidly. Just make sure you continue to stay away from the "avoid foods" for at least 60-90 days.
