This has also been argued by the author of the book "Protein Power." My only concern that this may not be as true in reality as it is in theory, is that flaxseed oil is a very effective agent in juvenile eczema, which if no GLA was resultant, would probably not be the case. If this is still a concern, another oil would probably do as well, as the idea is simply to achieve a 7-2-1 ratio of phosphatidyl choline/ serine and ethanolamine. The oil component itself simply acts to help create the ratio.
