Fit For Life theory?

Just wondering Dr. if you have read the book "Fit for Life"? I did many years ago & it always sticks in my mind. What if any factors relate to type A's poor digestion. Such as, combining proteins & starches at one meal. It becomes so complicated taking in all the possibilities. Is it different with soy protein since it is plant based rather than animal? I have also noticed I do not do well on megavitamins. Especially B's. I could never understand it. I now take just those you recommend. Its enough anyway. Just in case I need them. Should it be a daily thing or is it OK to just use echinacea once in a while (flu season etc) so your body doesn't build up a tolerance to the supplement (is this also possible-it seems like it does that)?thank you for your valuable time!
