Dear Dan, Blood type O would be expected to have a better result from the Zone type diet. This is perhaps because anthropologically they are worst suited for high carbohydrate type diets. Thus, they get more messed up by being "out of the Zone." The other types could certainly benefit from "being in the Zone," though they are less negatively impacted perhaps by being "out of it." I would believe though, that even given their somewhat better ability to handle grains, these types can also eventually develop insulin-memetic behavior if they choose to eat refined CHO's in the great quantities we have come to consider normal in our society.
