grain alcohol in tinctures

As a type O with (I believe) extra wheat sensitivity, should I be taking herbal extracts in a base of grain alcohol (41-46% by volume says the label), 3-4 droppersful a day? The grain is probably corn-, not wheat-based, but either way...?
