In Response To: short life span/nightshades/meat guilt (Mary Woodring)
Dear Mary, Though they did not live long, I do suspect their early demise was probably more do to infections and whatnot than to cardiovascular disease or cancer, which of course usually means "ripe old age". The nightshades are not limited by virtue of being nightshades per se, but rather because certain nightshades contain components which can aggravate conditions O's are prone to. Not all though. On dealing with guilt: "All belief systems limit growth, including the aformentioned belief." J. Hibbs, MD (my oncology professor, 1981) Peter
