Dear Beth, The diet is a key to optimizing one's health. If the syetm is healthy enough to heal, it will. I've seen people fix a condition with the diet, and if they varied the diet over time, the condition stayed "fixed", but this often depends of the condition. Obesity might require continual adherence, while a liver problem might not. Regardless, the idea is to eat what's right for you, for all the obvious reasons! Peter
