Beate, I'd would still follow the guidelines for type O, though a low protein diet would be advisable for type A with liver problems. I guess a good metaphor would be two automobiles with the same problem, say a fouled carburator. If one car is designed for "high octane" gas, it will still need that type of gas to function efficiently, whilst the other would require "low octane " gas. They are designed differently, and though they may get the same type of breakdown, they get it for different reasons. Peter
