Would you mind confirming the procedure below is correct or not?

I take 1 gm of food and chop it up, mix with 2.5 oz warm water for 10 minutes, then filter (to remove the lumps).
Then I take 2 drops of blood and put on a slide.
- How much of the water do I add to the blood - a few drops?
- How long is 'a little while'. I don't see any clumping after 1 minute - is this long enough?

I suspect I'm doing something wrong because I'm type A but I can't get any reaction to beef.
