1. Look into a product called "Osta B3" which is a naturally derived estriol from predominantly soybeans. It is manufactured by Bezwecken Co., Beaverton OR. They will not supply unlicensed practitioners, but will probably sell to you as an RN. Dosage: 3 pellets twice daily will supply 2 mg estriol (typical dose of conventional synthetic estriol: 2-8 mg, so you can see that low doses of the natural work better).
2. Fucus vesiculosis (bladderwrack) is a type of seaweed which works well in either hypo or hyper thyroid O's. Many herbal companies stock bladderwrack. Start with a small dose (10 drops of the tincture or 1 capsule daily of the freeze-dried). The component in Fucus that is important in type O's with thyoid problems is not the negligible amount of iodine found in the plant, but rather the large amount of free fucose, the sugar that is your blood type antigen. The fucose acts as a "decoy" pulling lectins or antibodies away from your thyroid receptors. Bladderwrack kinda smells like "low tide" so you might want to get it in capsules.
3. Stick with the O diet for a while, and everything should work out fine.
