Phytoestrogens and Progesterones

Peter - I’m posting this for someone who doesn’t have access to the internet. I’ll send her your response. Dear Peter - I’m a 57 year old Type I diabetic with Type A blood. I have been on estrogen replacement therapy (synthetic estrogen) for the past 9 years. Recently, I have switched to Estrad 0.5/Progest. 50 mg taken 2x a day at 12 hour intervals. What are your thoughts about the phytoestrogens and progesterones for someone like me. ERT is important for me because of the osteoporosis in my family as well as the cardiac benefits. Do you know of any studies that indicate whether natural hormones are more cancer preventative. Thank you, Judith Kautto
