If you live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area, I would like to inform
you of a ADHD/Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) Research Study
that will be taking place at Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas.
We are seeking 8-12 year old children who have been diagnosed with ADHD
and/or CAPD to participate in our research study. The research project
will require approximately 4-5 hours of your and your child's time.
Children will be evaluated on a variety of behavioral, intellectual,
academic, and
neuropsychological tasks. Parents will answer questions about their child
and family.
*Benefits: A written summary of each child's test scores will be provided
for parents. Additionally, parents will be invited to attend one of several
question and answer meetings held in the evening, to receive more
information about their child's test results.
*Costs: A 20.00 fee will be charged to cover the cost of materials, payable
upon the scheduled testing day.
