Dear Eileen,

I was diagnosed with PMR in 1990 at age 50, (its not in your age group- but I
considered it a young age ) I have always been very active physically and have never
looked my age.

The only treatment that has worked for me on a consisitent basis is prednisone- 3mg a
day seems to control flare-ups. Every so often I have to raise my dosage. I take 6 fish
oil a day, 4,000 mg of Vit C. DHEA 50mg, calcium, multi vitamin with minerals all on
the advice of my osterorpath who is treating me along with my rheumatologist.

What have you been doing?
