In Response To: Re: Seratonin In Panic Disorder (Marcelle)

Low seratonin levels trigger my severe migraines and cause my blood sugar level to drop drastically. I have an autonomic nervous system imbalance and a heart valve which is leaking moderately to severely. Dr put me on Prosac and vasotec. Prosac seems to cause me to have a false sense of security about things and I have to stay in "turbo mode" in order to be able to function in my job. After slowly coming off both medicines, I began taking B1, B12, B6 complex combined with 1000 mg of C and niaciade. This will boost the levels of serotonin. I also take St. Johns Wort and Chromium(this will naturally regulate blood sugar levels). I have been on these for 3 weeks and have not had even a slight migraine (had been having them 5-7 times a week) and have not experience a drastic drop in blood sugar. I have much more stamina. I'm not a doctor, so take my comments only as a personal experience, not as a prescription to go by.
