doctor diagnosed PMR in Jan. 1997. started on 15 mg prednisone and within a week tapered off to nothing by November 1997. changed doctors, am now on "extended release Orovail" (ketoprophen). Is not as effective as Prednisone but side effects not as bad I think. Will be trying Orudis next since the Orovail doesn't last me all day and it's incredibly expensive ($78. for 30 at Costco)Have stopped the wine and coffee habit which may be helping. But I am discouraged. I just can't believe there IS NO CURE for this! Will be checking with the Naturpathic College to see if there is another alternative. More later. Good luck. Inge
