A Cheesy Issue
Posted By: Diana Wrathall Date: February 18, 1996 at 14:31:45
Dear. Dr. D'Adamo, What is the basis for the allowed vs. avoid cheeses? Lectins? -- Raw milk cheese that is derived from non-hormone treated cows is available in cheddar (a disallowed cheese), but feta and mozarella, though allowed cheeses, are made from milk that is pasteurized and hormone treated. Which would be the lesser of the 2 evils -- eating a cheese that is not right for your type but that is non-hormone, raw milk cheese, or eating one that is right for your type but that is hormone treated, pasteurized?...What a world, huh? Thank you! Diana
