In Response To: Re: Polymyalgia rheumatica/ Type A (Rob Olson)

My mother was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica
in April 97 for 3 months she took 10mg of Prednisone
in June the dosage was reduced to 5mg and in september
worried about the side effects she reduced the dosage
on her own to 2.5mg in september and october to 1 mg.
She started to have an upset stomach and feel nauseated
in september. Since october she has had an upset stomach
and lost weight. Could you please send me some nutritional information.
She also has been told that she should have taken Zantac with the
prednisone . She does not have much energy at this time. Her sedimentation
rate is still a little high. Thank you
