In Response To: Type A diet and fibromyalgia (Sara)
Dear Sara, A colleague of mine in Hawaii, Dr. Anne Marie Lambert, has told me several times that the diet has very beneficial effects in fibromylagia, a condition which is apprarently endemic in Hawaii. My own feeling is that fibromyalgia is partially an auto-immune problem occasioned by the buildup of intestinal toxins (see "Indican Test" in book). The diet removes excess undigested or malabsorbed food, producing less opportunity for the colon bacteria to convert it into toxin, which gradually improves fibromyalgia. Peter
