In Response To: Large intestine removed (Sylvia Magerman)
I have a question regarding the removal of the large intestine. I know of someone that claims they were advised by their doctor to have their large intestine removed in efforts to combat obesity. From my understanding, there are no medical reasons for this except that this person does not like to diet and/or exercise. Upon searching the web for more info on this subject, I came up empty. All Ive found is possible removal of this organ because of cancer or whatever. I understand 'stomach stapling' is an option, but this is not what she is referring too. Is this type of surgery an option. If so, where can I find more information regarding it?? Thanks in Advance for any info you can supply
