actually my answer refers more to depression than panic, but most people with panic are also depressed, and many of then have serious carbo addiction, b vit and tryptophan+magnesium deficiency---the ssri drugs,ie prozac act to keep seratonin available in the right amount if they work for you. it seems that if all the nutrients are replenished, etc, the need for the drug lessens. panic also improves if o's exercise and a's meditate. i think carbos are contraindicated except for tiny amounts to help tryptophan get into the brain. ?make sense?
