I am a type O, postmenopausal(barely) and have mild osteoporosis (found in a bone scan I had done a month ago at our local hospital). I am conerned about a number of foods recommended for the type O, such as the above mentioned animal proteins, also club sodas and seltzer, salt, and any of the other foods that pull calcium from the bones. Just how concerned do I need to be? Is it correct to understand that type O's are more efficient in their ability to deal with these foods in getting the most out of them as well as keeping them from causing as much harm to them as they may to another blood type? In other words, how does this diet need to be modified within the age ranges and specific needs of individuals within a blood type? Thank you for your help on this.
