Hi Anne,

Tofu and soy based proteins are very good for type AB. In general, AB's have some of the grain tolerance of A's and an ability to handle dairy similar to B's. With regard to menopause, as the book says, AB's do OK on natural -type estrogens called "estriol" (Estrase, Osta B3) rather than with the synthetics (Premarin). A major recomendation for this type is the inclusion of
immune-enhancing and "adaptogenic" herbs such as Echinacea and Siberian Ginseng (Eleutheroccus) as part of a standard supplement regimen. For cardiovascular protection, the herb Hawthorne (Crataegus) should be included also. As the detox mechanism in AB's is not great, some vitamin C and bioflavanoids would also be a good idea.
