IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Hi Peter! I have what appears to be by professional diagnosis IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome)! Is there any relation- ship between this and blood type? I don't know my blood type, but hope to find it out soon! I do know that citric acid seems to trigger this condition. For example grapefruit, oranges and soda pop containing citric acid. I also have high cholesterol and my triglycerides level are elevated. My LDL is high and my HDL is low! I am taking lecithin and vitamin E for this. It seems to help in lowering my cholesterol and triglycerides levels. Is there any way of raising my HDL level? I heard that chromium picolinate helps in raising HDL level, is this true or is there anything besides exercise that will? Hope you can suggest what can help me with my IBS problem as well! Thank YOU!
