I am a caucasion female & was diagnosed with
hyperthyroidism in 1990 & opted for radioactive
iodine treatment. Since then I have been taking
Synthyroid. My cholesterol has continued to
escalate. Now at age 47 and being 25% overweight,
my cholesterol is at 349. Is there any correlation
between thyroid replacement and high
cholesterol or a false-high cholesterol reading?
